"I've been hearing about how gothy Trust is for quite awhile and I have to say listening to the record, this is as close to old-school sort of goth synth-pop as I've heard in the 21st century. It's really sleazy. There's like that dirty lustfullness and depressing nature to this that reminds me of the stuff that they used to play in goth clubs 20 years ago. A lot of people have tried to emulate goth synth-pop music from the '80s but it's usually bad because it's too happy. Trust is suitably sleazy and dirty and depressing enough to be goth music that you can dance to. And it's weird to me that because they're on Arts&Crafts they play SXSW and they play Sonar and they're not playing Kinetik -- because they're way more goth than any of those bands that are playing at Kinetik. And they'll probably sell more records."
