How Goth is... Zola Jesus?

"Zola Jesus is the new Siouxsie Sioux in my mind. She's the only artist on this list that's in my encyclopedia. And I've been a fan of her since I first heard her. She's a genuine misfit. I believe she's genuinely haunted and her music reflects a sort of like art school attitude and her dark passions. I think that a lot of female singers get tagged as being 'the new Siouxsie Sioux' because they're sort of witchy, but she I think is truly one of those artists that could go off in any direction but there will always be a gothiness to what she does. Even if she's blonde. And I think that her single 'Night' is one of the best goth song I've heard in the last 10 years."
