For Sale: Britney Spears' 'Crossroads' Sweatpants

Item: Britney Spears' Sweatpants From Her Movie 'Crossroads'

Starting Bid: $1,150

Seller's Description: You are bidding for the actual Pants worn on the DVD Front Cover of Britney's 1st Movie. They were designed by "Abercrombie & Fitch." She also wore them in the movie. I purchased them in June 2003 when Britney hosted her 1st ever online charity auction to raise money for her charity; "The Britney Spears Foundation." The pants come with a Letter of Authenticity HAND SIGNED by Britney Spears HERSELF!

When Brit couldn't fit into her skinny pants anymore, she cleaned up her act -- or, rather, her closet -- and donated several garments to charity. Savor the good old days when Forbes named the pop princess the world's most powerful celebrity and when the starlet could still land a movie deal. Beware, though: The seller doesn't guarantee the pants are free from the toxic karma that could make it your prerogative to shave your head, kidnap your kids and drive yourself crazy.

Don Henley Casts Blame for Winehouse's, Spears' Troubles

Twenty-six years ago, in the song 'Dirty Laundry,' the Eagles' Don Henley first sang, "Dirty little secrets/Dirty little lies/We got our dirty little fingers in everybody's pie/We love to cut you down to size/We love dirty laundry." Those words haven't lost their relevancy in today's tabloid and paparazzi-infused society. And Henley, who recently sat down with us for upcoming Spinner Interview, has nothing but sympathy for frequent tabloid targets.

"I always say, 'This is the world that Rupert Murdoch made and we all have to live in it,'" he said. "I feel badly for people like Amy Winehouse and even Britney Spears because it's really hard for a kid to cope with sudden fame and a lot of money. [The Eagles] certainly had difficulties, but we were all grounded enough -- had good parents and middle class, working class roots -- that we were able to get through it somehow. I know what a lot of these kids are going through and I feel for them."

While Henley empathizes with Spears and Winehouse, he also casts blame, particularly on the very industry that breeds their success. "There aren't a lot of good managers out there anymore," he said. "A lot of these people aren't getting the guidance that they should be getting because managers don't want to rock the boat. They don't want to say something to the golden goose that may make the golden goose fire them. They're reluctant to tell these kids the truth, which is, 'You need to go to f---ing rehab now.' It's the responsibility, not only of parents, but of friends, relatives, managers and record companies to keep their artists from going off the rails, even if it means losing them. And that just doesn't happen very much."

Junkie XL Booms Back With 'More' on New Album

Operating under the nom de club music Junkie XL, Tom Holkenborg has become one of the icons of electronic dance music. With the advent of his 2003 worldwide smash reworking of Elvis Presley's 'A Little Less Conversation,' Junkie established himself as an acclaimed re-mixer, producer and musician. And while he's since rebuilt Coldplay's 'Talk,' plus tracks by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake for the dance floor, Holkenborg is first and foremost a revered musician.

On his fifth studio album, 'Booming Back At You' (due March 11), Junkie forgoes the conceptual approaches of previous releases in an effort to capture the energy of his live shows. "I'm a very upbeat performer," the Dutch born Junkie tells Spinner. "And I wanted it to keep the fun and the energy going. The biggest difference between it and some of the more rock-based material in my past is that the arrangements of the songs are very basic and very simple. I really felt a fresh energy making this album that I hadn't felt for years."
