Music Appreciation: Adele

Despite hit singles and Grammy Awards, Adele is just trying to live the normal life of a 21-year-old kid growing up in today's world. So it shouldn't be surprising, then, that the British pop singer is a fan of Fall Out Boy. "My friends always cuss me and say I shouldn't listen to them," she told Spinner, "but [Patrick Stump's] voice is amazing."

The Hush Sound Gets Emo Stamp of Approval

The Hush Sound were in for a big surprise when their inbox was graced by a message from pop-punk posterboy Pete Wentz. These days they may be headlining tours and landing "featured artists" slots on OurStage, but a mere five months into the band's existence, Ryan Ross of Panic! at the Disco stumbled upon the Hush Sound's purevolume page and helped the band get their big break. Ross forwarded the tip over to the Fall Out Boy bassist, who was so impressed with what he heard that he signed the band to his Fueled By Ramen imprint, Decaydance Records.

Potent Quotables: Wentz on White House

"President Obama faces a challenge like Lauryn Hill after her album 'Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' won five Grammys." --Pete Wentz

In a recent rant, Fall Out Boy's bassist waxed poetic on the high expectations our new Commander-in-Chief faces.

Potent Quotables: Pete on Propositions

"It's like if a cow put itself between a pair of buns." --Pete Wentz

The Fall Out Boy bassist explained what it's like to be the target of willing groupies adding, "Isn't it a little more thrilling to go on the hunt?"

Elvis Costello Brings 'Luck' to Fall Out Boy

Elvis Costello will be appearing on Fall Out Boy's upcoming album, 'Folie a Deux'. While it's unknown if many of FOB's pubescent fans have even heard 'Oliver's Army' or 'Watching the Detectives,' the Pete Wentz-steered, Patrick Stump-fronted quartet is stoked about the cameo just the same, calling "it a once in a lifetime experience."

"I guess its time to let the cat out of the bag," the band tells Absolutepunk. "We didn't want to talk about this before we actually heard it. We've announced a couple of guests on the record but 'I Wish You Luck With a Capital F' is just one of the thousands of genius ideas thought up by Elvis Costello and he's gonna be singing on 'Folie a Deux.' This isn't a typical appearance as he's alongside the guys in a couple of the Decaydance [Wentz's label] bands on the song. Either way this has been an amazing experience for Fall Out Boy as he is one of our heroes, especially so for Patrick. We can't wait for you to have the chance to hear it."
