Since we've never been particularly fond of raising our heart rate through the ingestion of energy drinks, we have a modicum of sympathy for Jon Bon Jovi, who's filed a lawsuit against the New Jersey-based maker of one such brew -- claiming that it's giving him a bad name.

Marcos Carrington, who, in 2004, started pumping out cans of the coffee-based MiJovi beverage, claims that the moniker was intended as an homage to his own gal pal -- who happens to be named Jovita -- and not a tip of the hat to the hair-metal Hottentot. That explanation might hold a little more (caffeinated) water had Carrington not upped the ante by advertising his quaff with the tagline "ItsMiLife" -- a slogan that bears what some might call a passing resemblance to a song from Mr. Bongiovi's catalog.

If all else fails, Carrington could probably just repackage the liquid in question as 'Livin' on My Hair' pomade.
