Justice Capture the 'Universe' on DVD - Video Exclusive

After a series of sold-out tours, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay -- aka Justice -- are releasing the mayhem on DVD. The film, titled 'A Cross the Universe' (get it?), documents the duo's recent global trek, and hits proverbial shelves on Dec. 9. That might explain the non-stop rave next door. Check out an exclusive clip below.

Chili Peppers, RZA Funk Up George Clinton + More

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers, Carlos Santana, Sly Stone and RZA are among the guests appearing on George Clinton's forthcoming new album, titled 'George Clinton and Some Gangsters of Love.' That effort hits shelves on September 16.
  • In other RHCP news, French duo Justice are not producing the Peppers' new album as previously rumored.
  • Former Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst appeared on Tom Green's Internet show.
  • The Flaming Lips will release their long-awaited film 'Christmas on Mars' on DVD later this year.

Chili Peppers to Record With French Dance Duo Justice?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers may tap French dance music duo Justice -- Xavier De Rosnay and Gaspard Auge -- to produce its next studio album, according to newspaper The Sun.

Justice manager Pedro "Busy P" Winter," who also runs the duo's label Ed Banger, was quoted as saying that Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is a big Justice fan who reportedly uses the electronic outfit's music to warm up before RHCP gigs.

For that reason, the rumor could hold merit, although with the Red Hot Chili Peppers currently on a break after their extensive tour in support of 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium', there has been no confirmation from the band's camp. In May, Kiedis told 'Rolling Stone' that the group is "disbanded for the moment".

Justice Prefer Bruce Willis to French Cinema

French dance duo Justice are fully aware of their country's cinematical pedigree, which includes classic filmmakers Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut and Eric Rohmer, among others. But Justice's Xavier de Rosnay admits to being more of a fan of Ameircan cinema. "For films, we have really simple tastes and watch many blockbusters," he tells Spinner. "It's like 'Back to the Future,' 'Robocop,' 'Robocop 2,' 'Robocop 3,' 'Die Hard.' We have the worst taste ever."

And for those who are surprised by the admission of preferring American popcorn fare to the French new wave, de Rosnay shrugs it off. "I just prefer Bruce Willis and Eddie Murphy," he says. "It's good to say, 'Yeah, we like the nouvelle vague.' But the truth is everybody prefers Bruce Willis. It's like saying you listen to Gang of Four when you listen to Michael Jackson."

Springsteen Picks a Boss, Snoop Slams Obama + More

The latest ...
  • Bruce Springsteen announced who he wants as the boss of the United States, and his name rhymes with Schmobama.
  • In a surprising move, Snoop Dogg slammed Barack Obama. "The KKK gave Obama money," the rapper said. They was one of his biggest supporters." While there is no evidence to support this, Snoop offered the following support for his theory: "Why wouldn't they be?" he asked. "The media won't tell you that. They don't want you to know that."
  • Toby Keith, a longtime Democrat (what?), made public his support for both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, saying, "I'm real happy that there are two candidates that people can get behind."
  • Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery told Spinner in a recent chat that he's "an Obama man." He also insists that he was "an Obama man since before there was ever an inkling that he was going to run for President."
  • Sir Elton John raised $2.5 million for Hillary Clinton's campaign during his benefit show for the former first lady at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
  • Mavis Staples extended her support for Obama and Hillary Clinton in a recent interview with the Guardian. "I'm all for Obama," she said. "I like Hillary [Clinton], too. If either one of them wins, it's history -- and it's all because of Dr. King."
  • Rapper Nas called Barack Obama "the face of America." He continued praises by saying that "there's no two ways to look at it, man. The man's got what it takes. He's serious."
  • Former 'America's Next Top Model' contestant turned MTV personality Kim Stolz has offered her advice on campaign songs for the remaining presidential hopefuls. Want a preview? She suggests Justice's 'D.A.N.C.E.' for Ms. Clinton to up her "hipster factor." Hot.
