While some keep their drug use under the radar, Oasis' Noel Gallagher admitted to spending £1 million on drugs till he kicked the habit in 1998. Despite all the cash he dropped on drugs (including doing cocaine in a toilet that was set aside for the Queen of England), Gallagher said he never did heroin, "which kills people and which I have never tried." He stopped using in 1998 "because it is bad for your health, brain, life and for people around you."

Gallagher also slams Coldplay's Chris Martin, who says he has never taken drugs, and calls him an idiot for not doing so. "Doing drugs is the most beautiful thing about being in a rock band," the Oasis guitarist tells Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera.

In a recent interview, the Oasis guitarist insisted that it will take five years to reconcile with brother/bandmate Liam, calling him "the angriest man you'll ever meet."

The singer maintains that "everybody knows" Oasis. By extension, are we then supposed to included them in the great Beatles vs. Stones debate? Really?
