Embattled rocker Pete Doherty is the latest musician whose in-flight behavior resulted in an arrest. The former Libertines frontman was detained last Friday for allegedly shooting up on a British Airways flight.

According to a report in Britain's Sunday Mail, the 30-year-old musician was arrested after arriving in Geneva on the way to a performance. According to another passenger, Doherty went to the bathroom midway through the flight and wouldn't come out for over 25 minutes before the flight crew got the door open and allegedly found him with a hypodermic needle. He was escorted back to his seat, looking "completely out of it," while another crew member allegedly carried the needle out wrapped in a napkin. The pilot called law enforcement, who arrested Doherty when the plane landed.

Pete Doherty has confessed that "he would love" to re-form the Libertines but says the reunion will get off the ground only if former bandmate Carl Barât gives the go-ahead.

"It's just a bit dubious, isn't it?" Doherty told BBC host Zane Lowe. "[Carl] doesn't want to go down the same path and pick up the pieces again... There's obviously suggestions put forward and offers made, so it's not about the money for him, otherwise we would have re-formed already. He just wants to make sure it's right."

"He still thinks I'm surrounded by this dark energy, so [it won't happen] until I can prove I'm worth the risk," Doherty explained.

The Libertines were disbanded by Barât in December 2004 after he and Doherty were unable to see eye to eye, largely because of the latter's troubled history with drugs. Barât formed Dirty Pretty Things while Doherty spearheaded Babyshambles.

Doherty says he's still very much a fan of the Libertines' catalog of songs and says, "I would love to play them again, simple as that, really. I'd love to play 'Death on the Stairs' or 'Don't Look Back Into the Sun' live, and I'd love to play with Carl."

One of the dissapointments though can come from being booked to play at the same time as a main stage headliner, the very plight Pete Doherty's indie outfit Babyshambles were up against at England's Reading and Leeds festivals this past weekend.

"We were playing at the same time as Rage Against the Machine so we thought we were probably going to be playing to an empty tent," Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell told Spinner. "It was completley packed."

In fact, the group's set, made up of material from their 2007 Astralwerks release 'Shotter's Nation,' helped bring in fans by the hundreds as they spilled outside the NME/ BBC Radio 1 second stage to catch the group. And while he was thrilled by the turnout, McConnell admitted he would have liked the opportunity to see his teen heroes.
